The OGBR partnered with OHSAA and Wittenberg University to put on a clinic for referees for the purposes of implementing new rules. A part of the clinic included live scrimmages to review.  These scrimmages are used to test new rules and gives referees and coaches a chance to preview new rule changes through a preseason warmup of participating teams. This year, the rule examination and rule change centered around the shot clock. The shot clock has been a long topic of debate amongst basketball fans for years. How does adding the shot clock impact the game? Was the shot clock long overdue? Who will benefit? These were all questions discussed and reviewed during the clinic.
